Random update

knittingbansheeSo, yeah, an update on my various ongoing projects and yarns...
I'm still working on the Elfine Socks. The pattern is easier than it seemed when I started them, it's just that I'm knitting them on 2mm needles and it is taking forever. I'm already knitting the leg, so now it's a matter of using up all the yarn I have left rather than anything else. They should be finished soon. There will be pictures when I'm done. I'm not too happy with the toes, but hey, they are my first pair of toes-up socks, so I'm not complaining. Plus I managed not to mess up the heel, which I always do. And I did the heels by wrapping stitches, and it worked, so I'm guessing the reason why it doesn't look good on bulky yarn is, precisely, that it is bulky yarn. So, all in all, happy. Will hopefully finish them soon.
I have also finished another Moebius cowl (shorter than the first one I made), and I'm knitting yet another one that I may be finishing tonight or tomorrow. Pictures to come soon.
And my red yarn for the "Here be dragone" shawl arrived, and it is gorgeous. However, I also have four whole skeins of sock club yarn, and the remains of one of the first ones I got (even after finishing the handcharmers) and another sock club starting next month, and a lace yarn club after that, and maybe another sock club at the same time as that. So, I am trying to convince myself to at least finish the Elfine socks and the first skein of yarn before I start the shawl. Yes, I know, one can have multiple projects going at the same time, and given how complex the shawl is, I probably will need a simpler project going at the same time, but, you know, I don't like having too many projects going at the same time. I lose track, and it feels like the projects never get done...
On a separate note, knitting after having my nails done feels weird. I'm just about getting used to it now LOL
