Odd mittens

So, I had some yarn left from the socks I knitted for Christmas presents, and I decided to make a pair of mittens for me. They look very odd when I take them off, but they are tailored to my hand. You may wish to skip the reductions in the second half of the hand for a more standard look.
I use two skeins of yarn, one plain and one multicoulour, in coordinating colours. One mitten is knitted in plain, with multicolour edge and fingers; the other is knitted in multicolour, with plain edge and fingers.
Use plain as YARN A and multicolour as YARN B for one mitten, then reverse it for the second one.
